The process of auction of 3G spectrum is likely to get delayed indefinitely as the government is set to establish a group of ministers (GOM) on 3G by February 6.

The GOM would decide on various issues related to the auction including reserve price and the number of players.

There are differences between the communications ministry and the finance ministry over the issue of reserve price.

It would be interesting to see if the panel manages to take a decision before mid-April, when election process is slated to begin.
