4 killed in firecracker factory fire in W Bengal

Police suspect that the fire may have started from a lighted bidi or a cigarette.

Four persons have been killed when a firecracker factory in West Bengal's Murshidabad district caught fire, police said on Saturday.

The firecracker-manufacturing factory at Ballia village under Khargram police station caught fire last night, they said.

Two persons were killed at the spot while two others succumbed to injuries at hospital, they said.

Police suspect that the fire may have started from a lighted bidi or a cigarette.
