40 Film and TV Producers Guild members to attend

A 40-member delegation of the Film and Television Producers Guild of India would attend the prestigious Cannes Film Festival in France with a view to exploring avenues for Indo-French production and to scout for film locales.

Some of the delegates include Bobby Bedi, Manmohan Shetty, Sudhir Mishra, Anshuman Swami, Ravi Gupta, Praveen Nischol, Dr P V Gangadharan and the Guild Secretary Supran Sen, a release said here on Wednesday.

The delegates would interact with leading luminaries from the French entertainment world during the festival.

The essence of the visit would be to scout potential film locales in France and explore avenues for Indo-French co-production, it said adding, some of the Guild members would use the occasion to showcase their talents.

The visit of the delegation is expected to usher in a new era of cultural and ideological exchange between the entertainment worlds of India and France.

The Indian films that will be screened in the marketing section of the festival include Naina, Black, Kisna and American Daylight.

The festival beginning today would conclude on May 22.
