The second phase of polling for 14 seats in 81-member Jharkhand assembly ended peacefully on Wednesday with 45-50 per cent votes cast.

The poll officials informed that 45-50 per cent of polling took place and barring a landmine blast by Maoists killing a CISF jawan in Giridih district, it went off peacefully.
The polling began at 7 am and ended at 3 pm, Election Commission officials said in Ranchi.
All the 14 seats have strong Maoist presence.
The third phase will be held on December 8, the fourth phase on December 12 and the fifth and final phase on December 18. Counting will take place on December 23.
The first phase polling was held for 26 seats on November 25.
