4th ruling in nithari cases on Wednesday

A CBI-designated court here is likely to pronounce its judgment in the case of kidnapping, rape and murder of 12-year-old Deepali Sarkar on Wednesday. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has chargesheeted Surinder Koli for the alleged crime.

A CBI-designated court here is likely to pronounce its judgment in the case of kidnapping, rape and murder of 12-year-old Deepali Sarkar on Wednesday. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has chargesheeted Surinder Koli for the alleged crime.

CBI's investigations into the case revealed that Sarkar, who worked as a part-time domestic help in several houses of Noida Sector 29, went missing on 18 July 2006, and never.

After Nithari serial killing exposé in December 2006, businessman Moninder Singh Pandher and his domestic help Koli were arrested for their involvement in the case. Several human bones, skulls and other items were recovered from a drain near Pandher’s D-5 house in Sector 31.

Among the items found, Sarkar’s mother identified a pair of slippers that were worn by the victim when she went missing. Later, DNA extracted from a skeletal remains, and matched with the victim’s mother, proved the victim’s identity.
