5 members of Rakesh Pal gang arrested
ALLAHABAD POLICE were successful in arresting five members of the Rakesh Pal gang near Nehru Park on Tuesday. According to SP (City) RPS Yadav, the cops after being tipped off about the Rakesh Pal gang Dhoomanganj police under Station Officer SK Singh raided the Nehru Park area and arrested Ravikant Dhobi resident of Mundera Chak, Taan Ahmed resident of Jhalwa, Manjay alias Anil, Badelal alias Preetam resident of Sewait under Soraon police station and Satish Chandra resident of Baghrai.

Police recovered Rs 8,000, two country-made pistols, six bullets and 10 crude bombs. The gang was wanted in several cases of crime including a robbery of Rs 40,000 and a murder of one Kallu Yadav in Yadavpur.
Suicide: Dinesh (23) son of Late Nand Lal Patel, resident of Bindogram under Industrial Area police station committed suicide here on Monday evening. He body was found hanging from a tree. His brother Jitendra said that he was mentally challenged and committed suicide in depression. According to sources Dinesh was accused of murder of some Munna Singh in 2005. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination.
Accident: Shivram (5), son of Bhagat, resident of Isla under Muraili police station of Chattisgarh died in an accident on Tuesday. He received injuries when he came down from the roof of a house while playing in Civil Lines on Tuesday morning.
In another accident Sonu (17) son of Suresh Yadav, resident of 189 -New Mumfordganj under Colonel police station succumbed to injuries at SRN hospital on Tuesday. He was admitted to the SRN Hospital after he received injuries in a road accident on May 14.
Injured: Two persons received serious injuries in a road accident here on Tuesday. Guddi (30), wife of Abhay Mishra, resident of Newada under Baghrai police station of Pratapgarh district, sustained serious injuries when the tempo they were riding overturned near Ibrahimpur under Nawabganj police station.
The couple has been admitted to the SRN hospital for treatment. Guddi received injuries in throat, face and head while her husband received internal abdominal injuries.
Burnt: Banwari Lal (80) resident of Preetam Nagar under Dhoomanganj police station received serious burn injuries when he fell over fire while sleeping in his house. He has been admitted to the SRN Hospital where his condition was stated to be critical.
In another incident Rajendra Kumari (20), wife of Santosh Kumar, resident of Bharsum under Hathighawan police station was admitted to SRN Hospital with serious burn injuries.
