57 injured as bus overturns in J&K

At least 57 persons were injured when a private bus skidded off the road and overturned in Bandipora district of North Kashmir today, official sources said.

The bus was on its way here from Bandipora when the mishap occurred near Shadipora, 22 kms from here.

Ten of the passengers sustained head injuries and they were admitted to Soura Medical Institute for specialised treatment, the sources said.

While 35 others were undergoing treatment at JVC Hospital, 12 were admitted to SMHS hospital.

In a separate accident, a boy identified as Hadiq Hilal was killed in Anantnag district when a vehicle knocked him down at Delgam, 65 kms from here, the sources said.
