At least 60 people fell ill after consuming grams offered as ‘prasad´ in Assam’s Kamrup district, officials said on Wednesday.
The people had consumed soaked gram offered as ‘prasad´ during a puja at a private function of a villager on Tuesday, officials said.
They were rushed to Mahatma Gandhi Hospital following complaints of uneasiness and vomiting.
The condition of 22 people is stated to be serious, officials said, adding the gram samples have been sent for testing.
