64 child labourers rescued in MP since Oct

Sixty-four child labourers have been rescued in Madhya Pradesh since the Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act came into force on October 10, official sources in Indore said on Friday.

Of these children, 19 were rescued from Jabalpur, 11 from Indore, four from Bhopal, nine from Sehore, four from Gwalior, two from Morena, seven from Mandsaur, three from Neemuch, three from Satna, and one each from Chhindwara and Dewas, sources said.

The law bans employing children below 14 years of age as domestic help or at eateries.
