A despicable act
The blasts in Malegaon were a cruel act of cowardice and should be condemned strongly (Men behind Malegaon on probe radar, September 11). But it was surprising to see some TV channels interviewing so-called experts who kept blaming the LeT or Simi. It is shameful on the part of these channels to put the blame on Simi or LeT when there has not yet been any sound and thorough investigation.

The UPA government flanked by the Left has pursued a policy of appeasing the minorities, including terrorist elements like the Maoists of Nepal. As a result, there has been a growth in the number of these incidents. In less than two months of the Mumbai blasts, there has been another similar incident, for which the government must be blamed. Before blaming others, India should do some soul-searching on how it has supported terrorism in places like Nepal and Sri Lanka.

We want action and not empty promises’. It is time the fight against terrorism became our priority. We should change our policies to pursue this objective.
