A vote for reservations

Since the majority of Indian population belong to the lower classes, there need to be substantial amount of effort from the government for their upliftment. After all the future of India is at stake. In a democracy, the lower classes (who lack the intellectual equity because of the centuries of maltreatment) are not represented anywhere in the mainstream India except in the vote bank.

Since the majority of the Indian population belong to the lower classes, there need to be substantial amount of effort from the government for their upliftment. After all the future of India is at stake. In a democracy like India, the lower classes (who lack the intellectual equity because of the centuries of maltreatment) are not represented anywhere in the mainstream India except in the vote bank.

All that the government does is window dressing to obtain more votes, but it is better to have reservation at least. Government needs to educate the public as to why the reservations are necessary. Reservations are necessary more so at elementary and high school levels so that such students are competent enough to actually study at IIMs.
