Aaron Piersol became the youngest American (age 15) to break two minutes in 200m back, which he did at the 1999 Spring Nationals.
Four year ago at Sydney he finished .59 behind fellow compatriot, Krayzelburg, Since then he has rarely come second. He has dominated the backstroke competitions around the world. He has also broken the 100m backstroke world record of Krayzelburg.
At the Olympic Trial he led Krayzelburg in the 100m backstroke event. He would certainly like to achieve his fellow countryman’s record of winning the 100m and 200m backstrokes and 4x100m medley relay.
He wants to remain unbeaten in the rest of his career and what better way to start fulfilling the dream from the Olympics.
