Addressing a press conference here, he said that the organisation was extending all cooperation to the CID while pressing for an comprehensive investigation into the roles of the college management, principal, academic staff, Congress and NSUI in the entire episode.

He also alleged that NSUI and Congress workers were being let off the hook in the matter. He said the demonstrations by its activists were to press for the release of `innocent’ office bearers.

He also criticised the Governor Dr Balram Jakhar alleging that he was not taking any action against some of the vice-chancellor, who were involved in corruption and criminal cases.

The chancellor is `involved in political groupism,’ he said. The ABVP on Thursday organised rallies and demonstrations at the six divisional headquarters – excepting Ujjain to press its demands for reforms in higher education, implementation of the 93rd amendment in state and release of its office bearers, who have been arrested in the Ujjain Case.

Rallies were held at Gwalior, Indore, Rewa, Sagar, Jabalpur and Bhopal. In the city, the rally was held at Roshanpura Square, which was addressed by the national general secretary K N Raghunandan.
