It was experienced that freshers joining any industry were not trained or ready to assume office, making it necessary to provide them training for a long period, Pricol Director Vikram Mohan told reporters on Thursday night.

Against this backdrop, 'Pricol Academy of Excellence' (PAcE) would target this sphere for concerted action and train prospective job seekers in developing employability skills, he said.

The academy would also address concerns of people, wanting to shift from one industry to another and guide those unaware of customs and etiquettes followed in other countries, in doing business across the globe.

It plans to conduct Management Development Programmes for students, faculty and industry to keep them updated about the rapid changes, innovations and global practices, he said.

Besides an Assessment and Development Centre to assess candidates for induction in industries, PAcE would also provide an Out Bound Training Academy for every strata of society to foster camaraderie and team work, he said.

The Academy to start in August would offer courses in travel and tourism, airline and cargo management and software management, Mohan said.
