A group of soldiers were being trained to handle and diffuse a landmine on Friday evening when it accidentally exploded at the Corps Battle School (CBS) in Chingus area, about 150 km from Jammu, said an official.

Of the 20 soldiers, 15 were severely injured and were to be airlifted to the command hospital in Udhampur district, the official added.

The CBS gives induction training and imparts expertise in battle, warfare and counter-insurgency operation techniques.
