Aditya Birla School students excel in CBSE athletics meet

STUDENTS OF Aditya Birla Public School, Nagda put up an excellent performance in the CBSE national athletics meet held at JRD Tata Sports Complex at Jamshedpur recently.

Around 700 boys and girls from 21 clusters including six clusters from the Gulf countries participated in the meet. Alishka Agarwal bagged gold in 800-m race and 4x400-m relay event. Anmol Parihar, Ashima Gupta and Heena Surange grabbed gold in 4x400-m relay.

In total, they won five gold and one bronze medals and set a new record in 4X400-m relay race in the under-14 girls’ category. Ashvita Muley bagged a bronze in javelin throw. The school also secured the championship trophy in the under-14 girls’ category.

Prior to this, the school had made a massive haul of 10 gold, 10 silver and 11 bronze medals in the Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh CBSE cluster meet held at Bishrampur.
