ADMINISTRATIVE PREPARATIONS are in full swing to conduct the annual examinations of Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad, scheduled to begin on March 4. According to information, 156 examination centres have been set up in Varanasi to ensure smooth conduct of the examinations, of which nine centres have been declared as sensitive. In a bid to curb copying, these nine centres will be videographed during the examination.

According to information, 156 examination centres have been set up in Varanasi to ensure smooth conduct of the examinations, of which nine centres have been declared as sensitive. In a bid to curb copying, these nine centres will be videographed during the examination.
As many as 90,075 students of High School and Intermediate will appear in the examinations this year. Out of these, 29,212 boys and 23,842 girls will appear in the High School examinations whereas 26,459 boys and 16,562 girls will appear in the Intermediate examinations.District Inspector of School (DIOS) Onkar Shukla informed that three zonal and 13 sector magistrates would be deployed at various centres for smooth conduct of the board examinations in the district this year. Five flying squads would also be constituted to check the use of unfair means. District Magistrate Nitin Ramesh Gokran will hold a meeting of managers of all the centres at the Government Queen’s College in Lahurabeer area to discuss arrangements for the board examinations here on Wednesday.
Other examination centres which have been declared as sensitive include Arya Mahila Inter College, Rambaba Inter College (Sindhora), Gram Vidyapeeth Inter College (Gadkhara), Veer Lorik Inter College (Mohanv), Baba Demondev Inter College (Daanganj), Laxi Shanker Inter College (Rajwari), Kalika Dham Inter College (Sewapuri), Gangapur Inter College (Gangapur), Bhawani Prasad Inter College (Dangaria) and City Montessori Inter College (Sarainanadan).
Meanwhile, five centres have been set up for annual examinations of the Central Board for Secondary Education (CBSE), scheduled to begin from Wednesday.
