AFWWA organises camp for children
THE AIR Force Wives Welfare Association (Regional) AFWWA (R) of the Central Air Command on Thursday organised a camp at the Vidya Kiran School, Air Force Station, Bamrauli.
THE AIR Force Wives Welfare Association (Regional) AFWWA (R) of the Central Air Command on Thursday organised a camp at the Vidya Kiran School, Air Force Station, Bamrauli.
President of the AFWWA (R) Indu Gujral, wife of Air Marshal JS Gujral, PVSM, VM, VSM, ADC, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Central Air Command, inaugurated the camp.
The other guests, present on the occasion, were Air Vice-Marshal N Verma, AVSM, VSM, senior officer incharge administration, Central Air Command and VP Srivastava, AGM SBI of Allahabad Region. Indu Gujral distributed free uniform and sweets, sponsored by the State Bank of India, Bamrauli branch, to 90 children.
The Vidya Kiran School imparts education to the wards of servants and casual labourers. The AFWWA(R) also provides the children with mid-day meal. The children who perform very well in their primary-level examinations get free of cost secondary education imparted by the Air Force School Bamrauli.
Addressing the children and school staff, Indu Gujral said the AFWWA( R) was committed to the welfare of these children and would extend all support to them.
