DISTRICT EDUCATION officer has issued a fresh notice to Agem School seeking explanation in three days as to why it should not be de-recognised. In a sequel to a recent controversy involving director of the school Ashok Jain who had not only beaten up a student but also videotaped the incident, the district education officer today served a notice on the school.

The notice pointed out that the student Anwar and his sister Nisha were not being picked up from their home by the school bus. This, despite the fact that fee for the entire session had been deposited by their parents with the school. Besides, their school bag was also kept in the school.

Practical classes were being conducted in the school at present and studies of the two students concerned were getting affected because they were not able to attend them.

The notice also pointed out that the school management failed to furnish reply to a similar show cause notice served earlier, giving a clear indication that it has been ‘guilty’ in the matter.

If reply to the latest notice were not received within three days, the school management would be responsible for its consequence, the notice said.
