Unlike the other new nightclubs in the city, Agni hasn't fizzled out after a brief honeymoon with Delhi's party animals notorious for their ability to get bored very fast. On the contrary, it has grown over the months, and shows a lot of promise. With music - a mix of retro and the contemporary - that picks up tempo as the evening progresses and an impressive range of cocktails - from the inventive jamuntini and mango bellini, to a slew of martinis, margaritas, daiquiris and mojitos, in eclectic flavours like espresso, kiwi, peach, black carrot, lychee, strawberry, melon and orange - Agni has everything that a night bird can as for.
Our favourites are the Agni Spice (its version of the Bloody Mary), Chakra (vodka, peach schnapps, violet syrup and lemonade), Kama (tequila, green chillies, lemon chunks and cinnamon syrup), Moksha (white wine, white rum, jasmine syrup and soda), Mandela (white rum, vodka, gin, cointreau, passion fruit syrup and soda) and Shakti (Baileys, crème de cacao and crème de banana). Note: On Friday and Saturday, there's a cover charge of Rs 500, redeemable against food and drinks.
