AGP enters Net domain

Asom Gana Parishad has taken a step towards being net savvy by launching its own website ahead of the parliamentary elections.

The website, www.agpassam.org, contains the history of the regional party, aims and objectives of the party, achievements of the AGP government during its last tenure, profiles of the candidates contesting the ensuing polls, profiles of leaders of the party and its legislators.

The election manifesto of the party, released recently, was also available on the website.

AGP spokesman Jagadish Bhuyan said the website was launched to reach out to more people not only in Assam but also out of the state and country.

He said that the website has a special column where anyone interested in the party and its development can offer their suggestions.

The membership form of the party is also available on the site for interested people, he added.
