Aircraft technology needs to be improved

We must not forget that aircraft with inferior technology have claimed lives of many IAF officers and these martyrs deserve an acknowledgment, which could be brought about by improved infrastructure.

Although Pratibha Patil enjoys the privilege of being the first woman President to scale new heights, attention needs to be drawn to the sad condition of our fighter jets that is largely due to lack of technological advancement and poor maintenance (Pratibhaji-force, The Pundit, November 26). We must not forget that aircraft with inferior technology have claimed lives of many IAF officers and these martyrs deserve an acknowledgment, which could be brought about by improved infrastructure.
