Akshay Kumar, Priyanka Chopra to break ties

The Bollywood actors have resolved never to work together again to avoid rumours, informs Vajir Singh

They’ve done four hits together. To silence constant gossip about them being close in real life as well, Akshay Kumar and Priyanka Chopra had resolved not to work together.

Now, sources say director Priyadarshan wants to bring them back together in his next film, to be produced by Ratan Jain of Venus.

“I had signed Priyadarshan long ago and Akshay is doing the film. We intend to start shooting from September this year,” says Jain.

About Priyanka, he adds, “We’re still working on the subject and only Akshay is confirmed for the project. We’re looking for the female lead.” Asked to elaborate on the project, he says, “I can’t confirm anything right now. We’re finalising things and we’ll only be able to go public next month”.

Meanwhile Chand Mishra, Chopra’s business manager, confirmed she was in discussions with Venus. “Talks are definitely on but we’re yet to decide which film she’ll take. I don’t think it is for this particular project,” he said.
