Aleixo Sequeira is pro-tem Speaker in Goa

Congress legislator Aleixo Sequeira is sworn-in as pro-tem Speaker of the Goa Legislative Assembly on Monday.

Congress legislator Aleixo Sequeira was on Monday sworn-in as pro-tem Speaker of the Goa Legislative Assembly. Governor SC Jamir administered oath to Sequeira at a function held at Raj Bhavan, on Monday morning.

Chief Minister Digambar Kamat was also present. Sequeira will continue in the chair till the state Legislative Assembly elects a Speaker.

The decision to swear-in Sequeira was taken in a Congress legislature meeting held at Donapaula near Panaji. Sequeira, a Congress loyalist, is a four time legislator from Loutolim constituency.
