The results of Delhi’s most exciting culinary awards are in. With D-Day two days away, we reveal the top three restaurants in each category, according to the number of votes they have got even weeks after we first called upon you, the reader, to cast your ballot for the best among the best restaurants and bars in the capital — places that you believed were most worthy of being crowned winners of the second annual HT City Crystals People’s Choice Awards 2010 — the moment of truth is finally here.
Delhi’s foodies sent in more than one lakh votes via SMS, by logging on to our website and by filling out forms and dropping them into drop boxes set up at nominated diners. We have counted the votes, and now, the fate of the 200 nominated restaurants across 20 cuisine categories and 27 nightspots in the Best Bar category has been sealed.
Will last year’s winners keep their trophies? Or will new dining hotspots steal their thunder? Two more days, and the wait to announce the winners will be over. Today, we reveal to you the three restaurants in each category that have received the maximum number of votes from the capital's gourmands (Note: They are not listed in order of rank). These are the 63 places that have left behind several others in their categories to claim podium places.
Representatives of these 63 restaurants and bars shall be invited to be part of the glittering, star-studded awards night, when the winners of the city’s most exciting culinary awards will be declared. The date? October 29. The venue — the ITC Maurya, Chanakyapuri.
