A visually challenged music teacher of a school at the State Capital has been requesting the UP Board for the last two years to make him evaluator only for practical examination and relieve him from the duty of evaluating theory paper.
But to his great disappointment, the Board has made him evaluator for theory papers only
A teacher of an Intermediate College is finding it difficult to evaluate answer sheets of the UP Board. Reason: Error in his proof of identity. It carries the name of a different school to which he did not belong. He is now waiting for the Board to correct the error so that he could resume his duty
THE FUNCTIONING of the evaluation centres set up by the UP Board in the State Capital needs to be evaluated. For the second consecutive day, there were enough examples that speak volumes about various anomalies prevailing at the evaluation centers. However, the teachers’ association blamed the education department and those who were helping students copy in the examination hall.
This is not for the first time that such anomalies were detected at the evaluation centres set up by the UP Board. Besides the aforesaid examples, there are plenty of other cases where high school teachers have been entrusted with the task of evaluating answer sheets of the Intermediate examination. Also, there were rumours that the answer sheets may not be evaluated by the subject teachers. However, the officials at the Shiksha Bhawan rubbished all such allegations.
The evaluation of the answer sheets of home science at Aminabad Inter College has not yet started. The college is still waiting for the subject teachers to come and start evaluation work. Besides, several teachers did not turn up at the evaluation centres. However, the officials feel that the things would improve in a day or two.
However, the Madhyamik Shikshak Sangh is not ready to accept these anomalies and stated that there was some thing seriously wrong in the system. They questioned as to why 17 teachers be posted to evaluate just one single answer sheet of accounts? Where have the other answer sheets gone?
