'Anonymous letter bid to malign Jammu varsity'
Jammu University Non-Teaching Employees' Association (JUNTEA) has condemned the circulation of anonymous letters against some employees of the university. Chairing a meeting of the association, Sunil Sahi said some elements are trying to defame the reputation of the university by circulating anonymous letters against university employees.

Last week, an anonymous letter was received at the office of the vice-chancellor, leveling serious allegations against some employees.
A section of scholars and students had said even if it was an anonymous letter, the allegations should be probed.
Sunil Sahi said if anyone has any proof against any employee, he or she must come forward with evidence and if there a credible evidence, the association would request the authorities to take strict action against such employee(s).
He further added that JUNETA will not allow people with vested interests to malign the reputation of the university. The association even requested the media to desist from reporting about the anonymous letter.
Manoj, Ashwani Dutta, Ravi Gupta and Parvesh Bakshi also expressed their concern over frivolous allegation being levelled by some anti-university elements to malign the image of the university.
