CHILD SINGER Anushka Singhal – who performed the feat of singing continuously for more than 18 hours recently - would receive free education at ILVA Higher Secondary School, where she is currently studying in Class five.
“Not only her fees would be waived off, but the school would also provide whatever facilities Anushka requires for further education,” ILVA School chairman Yashwant Kaushik announced at a function organised here today to felicitate Anushka. State PWD Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya was the chief guest on the occasion.
A citation and a trophy were awarded to Anushka on the occasion. An ILVA School student since 1999, the nine-year-old girl has broken the Limca Book Record of Chennai’s Venkatesh by singing continuously for a little more than 18 hours on August 25.
Congratulating her Kaushik said, “Anushka has strived hard for the feat and the school is proud of her achievement.” Vijayvargiya said, “Anushka is one of the many students of ILVA School who have excelled in various fields not just at the state-level, but also at the national level.” Another singer from the City Palak Muchchal was also present on the occasion.
Earlier, ILVA Association president Devendra Bansal welcomed Vijayvargiya and Palak. Kaushik conducted the programme and also proposed the vote of thanks.
