Secretary of the association Shamshad Ahmad and Badre Alam said the unemployed Muallim-e-Urdu would stage a demonstration on May 16 at the district magistrate’s office to mount pressure on the government in support of their demands. A meeting of the Muallim-e-Urdu has been convened on May 9 at Maulana Azad Boys Secondary School to discuss the future course of action.

Hafiz-ur-Rehman Ansari said that the State government had made the appointment of assistant Urdu teachers in government primary schools in 1995 on the basis Muallim-e-Urdu. After two years, the equalisation of Muallim-e-Urdu degree was changed and it was equal to Urdu BTC. He demanded that in the first phase, the unemployed Muallim-e-Urdu graduates should be recruited.
