With reference to the news report Kanimozhi behind bars (May 21), the arrest of the Rajya Sabha MP is another shock for the DMK after its disastrous showing in the assembly election in Tamil Nadu. The Central Bureau of Investigation should be grateful the Supreme Court for directly monitoring the probe. In fact, the politician’s arrest has helped the investigating agency salvage its image somewhat.
