RENOWNED URDU litterateur from Pakistan Asad Muhammad Khan read out a story and recited his ‘geet’ at the programme ‘Ek Shaam Asad Muhammad Khan ke Naam’ organised at Mulla Ramoozi Sanskriti Academy on Wednesday evening.

Khan read out his story ‘ghusbaithia’ in front of a select audience. The story was set in the backdrop of Bhopal gas tragedy and was heartily applauded. He also rendered his ‘geet’.

Bhopal-born Khan migrated to Pakistan after partition. He has five collections of stories to his credit apart. Khan is also a well-known poet of Nazm. The programme was organised under the aegis of MP Urdu Academy.
