It encompasses both disciplines - science as well as arts. It is a divine science of correspondence that applies cosmic principles to everyday life. In essences it is a sublime art of foreseeing events from the position of the planets at the time of birth.
Every now and then one comes across persons who doubt the veracity of this science.
Disenchanted with the prediction of some quack astrologers, they dub the star science as mere superstition. Some others, with biased views, frown upon astrology without actually knowing what it is all about.

Science deals with observation, calculation and inferences arrived at by coordinating facts and figures. The knowledge of astrology has come to us from great seers of the past who, by some divine knowledge, calculated the motion of planets, observed their effects on terrestrial life and drew inferences of cause and effect relationship and periodicity of events.
That the planets affect our life is evident from a number of occurrences we see in our everyday life. We also know that Sun and moon, by their angular juxtaposition, cause the tides to rise and fall.
Its pulling power is so great that thousands of tonnes of water rises by as much as 70 feet. What then would be its effect on the brain which contains the subtle essence of life?
