At least two persons were killed and 52 others injured when terrorists hurled a handgrenade on a rally being addressed by National Conference candidate Khalid Najeeb Suhrawardy at a village in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday afternoon.

The terrorists hurled a grenade on an unscheduled public meeting organised by the National Conference at Bagwa, about 13 kms from Doda town around 1310 hours on Wednesday, police sources said.
Suhrawardy escaped unhurt but at least two persons were killed and 52 others were injured in the attack.
Eight of the injured were in serious condition and a helicopter is being rushed to bring them to Jammu, the sources said, adding terrorists escaped after the attack on the rally.
