AU colleges all set to hold UGAT
THE CONSTITUENT colleges of Allahabad University are all set to hold Under-Graduate Admission Test (UGAT)-2006 with CMP Degree College scheduled to conduct it on Wednesday.

With around 50,000 candidates vying for 10,347 seats, it will be a Herculean task for the aspirants to get through.
More than 17000 candidates would vie for admission at Chaudhari Mahadev Prasad Degree College (CMPDC) against a total of 2,780 seats allotted to it by the University. The test will be conducted at 14 centres in city.
At Jagat Taran Degree College 2000 candidates are expected to appear in the test for 832 seats. The admission test will be held at 4 centres on June 25.
Similarly at Ishwar Sharan Degree College (ISDC) about 10,000 students will appear in admission test for 1530 seats allotted to the college on June 26. The admission test would be conducted in three shifts, for B Com from 8 am to 10 am at ISDC, for BA from 11.30 am to 1.30 pm at other centres and for B Sc from 3.30 pm to 5.30 pm at ISDC and Ishwar Sharan Inter College. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Degree College situated in Phaphamau has a total of 480 seats and will conduct the admission test at Mary Lucas College only on June 28.
Arya Kanya Degree College will conduct examinations for 727 seats on June 30.
Allahabad Degree College (ADC) will conduct the admission test on July 2 & 5. B Sc & B Com tests on June 2 while BA admission test on June 5.
Hamidia Girls Degree College will conduct the admission test for 810 seats on July 2 while Rajarshi Tandon Mahila Degree College will conduct the admission test for 293 seats on July 2,
Sadan Lal Sanwal Das Khanna Degree College will conduct admission test for around 900 seats from July 5. B Sc admission test will be held on July 5, BA on July 6 and B Com on July 7.
The colleges all set to go for the admission tests have made all necessary arrangements including security.
Ewing Christian College (ECC) has already conducted the admission tests in first week of June.
