THE ADMISSION forms for the under-graduate courses of Allahabad University (AU) will be sold between May 2 and May 15 from the Pravesh Bhawan and the Under-Graduate Admission Test-2006 will be held on June 22 and 23. However, the sale of admission forms for the post-graduate courses of the varsity will begin only from May 27 and continue till June 5 and the Post-Graduate Admission Test-2006 will be held between June 27 and July 2.

Decisions in this regard was taken by the AU authorities late on Monday night at a meeting that was attended by all the directors of the admission tests. The decisions came into effect with the AU Vice-Chancellor Prof Rajen Harshe too giving the go ahead.
As per the decisions, admission forms for the Law courses of Allahabad University (AU) will be sold from May 8 and May 22 from the branches of the Punjab National Bank. The Law Admission Test for the UG course (LLB) will be held on July 3 while for the PG (LLM) will be held on July 5.
Though the total number of seats for each of the course as well as the exact date on which an admission test for a particular subject will be held is yet to be finalised, it has been decided that the admissions will be done this year on an all-India basis befitting the AU's newly attained Central status. Even though, the admission tests and sale of forms will be carried out only at Allahabad this time around, from next year the forms will be sold in other States too.
UGAT-2006 Director Prof AP Sinha informed that the sale of forms at the Pravesh Bhawan will start at 11 am each day from the stipulated date and will continue till 2 pm. The forms will be sold even on holidays. The price of admission forms for all courses have been fixed at Rs 250 per form with the only exception being the SC/ST and the physically handicapped who can procure the forms at Rs 100.
