Australia rest Lee for SA game

Brett Dorey will take the strike bowler's place in Melbourne on Friday.

Australia are resting fast bowler Brett Lee from their team for the tri-series match against South Africa in Melbourne on Friday, Cricket Australia said on Thursday.

Captain Ricky Ponting returns to the side in place of Brad Hodge after being rested for the last two games, Brett Dorey takes Lee's spot and Stuart Clark continues to deputise for seamer Nathan Bracken.

Australia have already qualified for the final.
