The Noida authority, at its board meeting on Thursday, approved of several decisions it made while signing a three-month truce agreement with farmers on July 30.
The decisions had been taken to quell farmers' agitations and save real estate projects in the city. The pact depends on the implementation on these decisions and ends on October 30.
The board meeting said 1,000 plots would be allotted, through a draw of lots, to farmers whose land was acquired before 1997. For farmers in 15 villages, whose land was acquired after 1997, plots measuring 5% of the total land acquired would be allotted by August 30. The rest of villages will get this benefit by October 30.
Noida chairman Balvinder Kumar said, "The board has approved of the decision that farmers and the authority would withdraw cases from court and compensation, in those cases, would be paid as per court orders."
