MP CONGRESS minority cell vice-president Akhtar Baig has claimed Rs 25 lakh compensation from cell president Sayed Sajid Ali and MP Congress Committee general secretary and spokesman Manak Agrawal for expelling him from the party without giving him an opportunity to be heard which affected his physical and mental well being.

Baig has served the notice to two office bearers through his counsel Sunil Kumar Verma and has given them a week’s time to submit the reply failing which he would slap a law suit against them.

The notice states that statements given by Ali and Agrawal about his expulsion have aggrieved him, especially when he has received no written letter saying that he has been expelled from the party for six years.

According to Baig, he was equally pained over their remarks made on electronic channels that he no longer held any post and that he was dislodged from the post of cell vice-president one and half years back.

The notice demands to know why did the two Congress leaders address him as the cell’s vice-president
