The attack on the Pir Koh gas plant led to suspension of gas supplies, the daily said.
Dera Bugti is one of the major scenes of the armed rebellion by Baloch nationalists protesting discrimination by the government in Islamabad and demanding an end to what they consider "colonisation" of the province by people from Punjab.
No casualties were reported in the rocket attack.
Three security officials were injured in a landmine explosion in Sangsila. In another incident of anti-government violence, a bomb exploded outside Radio Pakistan's building in Khuzdar, the newspaper said.
