Ban cola in State: Sena

THE SHIV Sainiks on Saturday took out a march from Sikshak Park to the District Magistrate?s office in protest against use of pesticides in the soft drinks. They also broke cola bottles at the DM?s office and handed over a memorandum to the district authorities demanding ban on cola in the state. Addressing the gathering, Shiv Sena?s State deputy chief Abhya Sahnkar Dubey said use of excess quantity pesticides in soft drinks could be detrimental to the health of consumers.

THE SHIV Sainiks on Saturday took out a march from Sikshak Park to the District Magistrate’s office in protest against use of pesticides in the soft drinks. They also broke cola bottles at the DM’s office and handed over a memorandum to the district authorities demanding ban on cola in the state.

Addressing the gathering, Shiv Sena’s State deputy chief Abhya Sahnkar Dubey said use of excess quantity pesticides in soft drinks could be detrimental to the health of consumers.

The Sena leader also demanded ban on colas in the State like Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Arunanchal Pradesh.

The Sena activists also threatened to destroy the hoardings of cola companies in the city. Prominent Sena leaders who participated in the rally were Dilip Singh, Deepak Tripathi, Rajjan Trivedi, Dinesh Jaiswal, Jagjit Gandhi, Usha Katiyar and Rahul Yadav.
