Activists of the Parishad took out procession and staged demonstration outside district headquarters in Varanasi on Thursday in support of their demands. The procession was taken out from Lahurabeer crossing and after passing through the several routes, it culminated in a meeting at district headquarters.
National president of the Parishad, Deshraj Pathak said that reservation was a great hurdle in all-round development of the country. “The reservation policy should be abolished to accelerate country’s economic development and to strengthen the social harmony and unity of country”, he said. He further said that education should be nationalised after abolishing the reservation policy from the academic institutes.
He said that the privatisation of education was causing differences in the society. He demanded that the private institutes should be undertaken by the government and only those private institutes should be allowed to run their institutes in the country, which could provide free education to the students.
Ramdutt Mishra, Brij Kishore Tripathi and Pramod Dubey and Vrindavan Pandey addressed the meeting.
