A Bench headed by D K Jain also allowed the former Prime Minister Deve Gowda to be impleaded (to be made a party) in the matter.

The Karnataka High Court had earlier directed a Lok Ayukta inquiry into the multicrore project, after Gowda shot off a letter to it alleging irregularities in the project.
