Bank of India annual sports meet concludes

THE ANNUAL sports of Bank of India organised by Zonal Sports and Welfare Committee concluded recently. On the occasion, athletics, chess, carrom, table tennis and cricket events were held.
All the employees of the different branches took part in the annual sports meet. The cricket match was played between Zonal Manager XI and Assistant General Manager (AGM) XI.
In a thrilling match AGM XI defeated ZM XI by eight wickets to win the trophy. The athletics were in age categories of below 45 and above 45. Ten Singh Singer and Ashwin Chouhan won the first and second positions in the under45 men’s 100-m race.
In the above-45 group for men, Pradeep Jadhav and Ashwin Shah won the top two positions. In the men’s 100-m race Piyush Tomar and Satyvan won the first and second positions.
In women’s 100-m race, Pooja Verma and Mayuri Verma won the first two positions.In the 200-m race Kusum Joshi and Charu Mitra Jadhav won the first and second positions.
In the 400-m race for men, Ten Singh Singer and Kapil Jain won the first and second positions. In table tennis singles, Chandrakant Panse was the winner while Kunjilal Tomar was the runner-up. In the doubles, Jayesh Acharya/Kunjilal Tomar lifted the title while Ashok Bhopalkar/Shailesh Bhatt had to be satisfied with second position.
Anil Jindal won the carrom title while Chandrakant Panse won the second position. In chess, Kailash Chouhan and Harish Shahi were declared joint winners while Brajesh Gupta won the second position.
Zonal Manager R C Khurana congratulated all the winners and the participants, Jayesh Acharya and Bhopalkar conducted the programme.
