Bar Assn for tight security at HC

THE ALLAHABAD High Court Bar Association (HCBA) has advocated tighter security on the High Court premises. It demanded that the HCBA, including lawyers, be permitted to enter the High Court premises only after going through a metal detector. This view was expressed at a meeting to mourn the Mumbai serial bomb blast victims.

THE ALLAHABAD High Court Bar Association (HCBA) has advocated tighter security on the High Court premises.

It demanded that the HCBA, including lawyers, be permitted to enter the High Court premises only after going through a metal detector. This view was expressed at a meeting to mourn the Mumbai serial bomb blast victims.

Association chief CL Pandey presided over the meeting that joint secretary Manoj Kumar Mishra conducted. The association demanded stern action against terrorists.

The Bar requested advocates not to keep their vehicles at the High Court gate. It also said that the vehicles of outsiders should not be permitted to be kept at the High Court gate.

Others who attended the meeting were: High Court Bar Association vice-president Upendra Singh, joint secretary Shashi Sekhar Tiwari, treasurer Himanshu Singh, Governing Council member Pushpa Singh, Anil Pathak,
Atul Kumar Pandey, Ashish Dubey, Vineeta Jaiswal etc.
