A large number of people, including students, took out a procession and raised slogans against the district administration and state government for neglecting the area.

The students alleged that the schools in the area lacked basic requirements, including teachers, classrooms, drinking water and toilets.

They alleged that the quality of education was deteriorating and the authorities had failed to do something about the situation.

Former sarpanch Abdul Rashid Wani alleged that apart from education people of the area have been facing several other problems. He said that the district headquarter was 90 km away from the area and the roads were in bad condition. Wani added that the post of naib tehsildar was also vacant, and because of this the people had to cover 62 km to get their work done from Ramnagar tehsil headquarter.

Wani said, "The area faces a power problem, making life tough for the people".

He threatened to continue the bandh till the administration and government would fulfill their demands.
