BEST bus workers' strike called off
The two-day strike by employees of the Bombay Suburban Electric Supply and Transport Undertaking (BEST), demanding pay hike, was called off on Saturday night.

The two-day strike by employees of the Bombay Suburban Electric Supply and Transport Undertaking (BEST), demanding pay hike, was called off on Saturday night.
The employees union and the management had two-hour-long meeting following which the strike was called off, BEST General Manager S Ksatriya said.
Nearly 3200 BEST buses stayed off the road and as many as 44,000 BEST employees joined the strike.
