Suspended BJP MLA from Lathi Bechar Bhadani re-joined BJP on Monday along with his supporters after he resigned from Congress on last Saturday.

Bhadani was welcomed by the BJP distrcit unit president in Amreli on Monday.

"I re-joined BJP as the party's policy on terrorism inspired me," Bhadani said.

Bhadani, considered to be close to the rebel leader Keshubhai Patel, had openly spoken against Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi prior to the state assembly elections held last year. Bhadani was suspended from BJP after that.

He had joined Congress and fought assembly elections from Lathi constituency. However, he had lost the election. Now he has joined back the BJP.

Earlier, former union minister of state for health Vallabh Kathiria, who was one of the suspended rebels due to his anti-party activities before the elections, had tendered an apology to Gujarat Chief Minister Naremdra Modi and rejoind the party.

Many such rebels from Keshubhai Patel group, "who had a change of heart" are likely to join BJP, BJP sources said.
