Bhajji summoned by Match Referee

Harbhajan Singh was on Wednesday summoned by ICC Match Referee Jeff Crowe at the end of the first cricket one-day international against South Africa.

Harbhajan faced charges of unsportsmanlike behaviour after he gestured at a rival batsman after dismissing him, a Hyderbad Cricket Association official said.

The off-spinner was to appear before the Match Referee later in the evening.

South Africa defeated India by five wickets in the opening encounter of the five-match series at the Rajiv Gandhi stadium e.

Harbhajan's was termed as a Level 1 fence under Clause 1.6 of the ICC Rules of Conduct for players and officials.

The bowler was accompanied by media manager Wg. Cdr. Baladitya at the meeting which was also attended by the on field umpires.
