Addressing a public rally, ‘Gulami Chhodo Samaj Jodo’, organised under the banner of a regional political party Rashtriya Samanta Dal at Town Hall grounds here today, Bhujbal said,” The deprived sections in the country are scattered and divided in groups and the time has come when these groups should come together at one platform under the banner of Mahatma Phoole Samta Parishad and fight collectively for their rights”.

Bhujbal, who is also State Minister for Public Works in the Maharashtra Government, exhorted the people to follow the path of Mahatma Jyotiba Phoole, Sawitriba Phoole, emperor Ashok, Shahuji Maharaj and other leaders.

He strongly criticised the communal forces and said that his party would not allow them to flourish in the country. He clarified that this newly formed organisation was not a political party. It would always fight for social justice.

Bhujbal called upon the people to participate in the proposed rally of the Samta Parishad in New Delhi on March 10 in large numbers.

Presiding over the rally, national president of Rashtriya Samanta Dal Hari Ram Shakya said that the members of backward and SC/ST castes had been deprived of their rights since independence. “Every political party tries its best to divide the deprived communities for their political interests but it is unfortunate that they are not getting their due”, he said.

Former vice-chancellor of Purvanchal University Dr. PC Patanjali, national general secretary of RSD Surendra Kushwaha and president of All India Saini Samaj Chaudhary Indraraj Sani exhorted the people to be prepared for a long movement.
