Big B refuses to speak on Cong-SP ties
Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan on Friday refused to comment on Samajwadi Party moving closer to Congress to support the UPA government on the Indo-US civil nuclear deal issue.
"This is a political question and I do not know politics. And I will not be able to answer this," Bachchan said when asked about his reaction at a press conference on "Unforgettable Tour" which starts from July 18.
Amitabh's wife Jaya is a Samajwadi Party MP and SP General Secretary Amar Singh and Bachchans are close family friends.
Also, the split between Bachchans and Gandhis, one-time close friends, is wide open, especially after Jaya taking potshots at Sonia Gandhi on more than one occasion.
The Samajwadi Party has decided to support the Congress-led United Progress Alliance Government on the N-deal issue after the Left withdrew support.
